Abigail Holgate Millinery | Branding

CLIENT: Abigail Holgate Millinery | PROJECT: Logo and brand design Abby got in touch with me to help with her logo design and branding. She makes STUNNING hats so we needed something that was going to look equally sharp and really evocative of the type of headwear she produces. I quickly narrowed down that her style was bold and her forms were reminiscent of the 1930s-50s so we needed something that touched on the era and wasn't too busy so that we could let the hats do the talking. She already had a great initial concept for a monogram which I refined for her and paired up with a wordmark. I then put forward a concept of using the detail of her colourful hats as backgrounds to set her logo on and designed a set of evergreen business cards for her to use at events. Abigail has since used the logo for the hat labels and boxes which look great - it's really working well for her!
